Basic equipment, moved around and varied at will. Want a new presentation? Just move the machine. That flexibility is why sporting clays spread across the country so quickly.

Need a Little More Help? We've Got You Covered.
Our Introductory Package is a great way to get started. A Coyote Field Guide leads your group through five stations, with the shotgun, ammunition, targets, and eye and ear protection included. With one guide for every three to five shooters, your group gets the guidance and attention needed to enjoy a safe and memorable first experience.
Great for: Family days, birthdays, cousins, and anyone ready to try something new together.

Ready to Build Skills?
For young shooters looking to develop their skills, one on one instruction is a great place to start. Our certified instructors can help build a strong foundation from the very first shots, refine technique as skills develop, or help young athletes begin working toward competitive shooting.
Don't have a group? No problem. We have the coaching and expertise to help your young shooter take their next step.
For shooters 12 and older, please call in advance after booking so we can make sure a coach experienced in youth instruction is available.
What to Expect
Their First Visit, From Start to Finish.
A first visit should be exciting, not intimidating. Here is what you and your young shooter can expect from the moment you arrive.
Arrive and Check In
Your visit begins at the Pro Shop, where we will get you checked in, take care of the required waiver, and answer any questions before you head out to the course.
Meet Your Instructor
You will meet your instructor at the Pro Shop, where they will introduce you to the club, explain how everything works, and help you get familiar with the sport before heading out to the course.
Safety Comes First
Before anyone steps onto the course, we cover the fundamentals of firearm safety and make sure everyone has properly fitted eye and ear protection. We take the time to explain the rules clearly, and parents are encouraged to listen and learn right alongside their young shooter.
Get Comfortable With the Shotgun
Before we introduce any targets, the instructor will explain how to safely handle and operate the shotgun. Young shooters will have time to become comfortable with the firearm and learn the fundamentals before taking their first shot.
Time for the First Targets
Once everyone is ready, it is time to call for the first target. The instructor will guide the shooter through each step, offering coaching and encouragement as they learn and gain confidence.
Celebrate the First Break
Then comes the moment everyone has been waiting for. The first clay takes flight, the shooter makes the connection, and suddenly that orange target turns into a cloud of dust. It is a small moment that can feel like a big accomplishment, and one that is even better when you get to share it together.
Before You Come
A Few Things to Know.
We want your young shooter to have a great experience from the moment you arrive. Here are a few important things to take care of before your visit so you can spend your time enjoying the day.
Parents, Please Take Note
For guests under 18, the waiver must be completed by a parent. If your child is coming with another adult, please fill out the waiver here. In certain circumstances, we can arrange an online waiver and help make sure everything is ready before you arrive.
Taking care of this ahead of time helps ensure your young shooter can get started without delays.
Bring an Experienced Adult
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised by an experienced adult while on the range, whether they are shooting or simply watching.
Everyone Signs In, Including Spectators
All participants and spectators complete a waiver at the Pro Shop kiosk. If siblings or family members are joining you to watch, they will need to complete one as well. Waivers are valid for two years.
Eye and Ear Protection, Every Time
Eye and ear protection is required for everyone on the range, including shooters and spectators. We provide protection at no charge. If your young shooter wears prescription glasses, please remember to bring them.
For the Grown Ups
Come Along for the Fun.
You do not have to shoot to be part of the experience. Come watch, cheer them on, and enjoy the day together. There is no charge for spectators, and sometimes the best part is simply being there for that first big smile when they break a clay.
Most importantly, it is a chance to spend quality time together, create lasting memories, and introduce the next generation to a sport they can enjoy for years to come.
Just complete the same waiver as the rest of your group.

Absolutely. Several of our instructors can coach parents and young shooters together, making it a great way to learn as a family.
Closed toe shoes, a hat, and comfortable clothing are recommended. The course has uneven terrain and plenty of California sunshine.
First shots, first breaks, and big smiles do not happen every day. You will want to remember this one.
