BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
WHAT YOU NEED TO VISIT
Coyote Valley is first come, first served for experienced shooters. No booking required. Here's what to bring and know before you walk up to Station 1.
Comfort with a Shotgun
Walking on is for shooters who are comfortable handling a shotgun safely on their own. If that's you, come as you are, any day we're open.
Newer to it, or shaking off some rust? You're just as welcome. Come out alongside an experienced friend who's happy to shoot with you, or start with a lesson or the Introductory Package and you'll be walking on before long.
A Signed Waiver
Every participant and observer signs an Agreement and Release from Liability at the kiosk inside the Pro Shop. It takes a minute, and it stays on file for two years.
Shooters under 18 are welcome with an adult alongside them, and a parent signs their waiver.
Your Shotgun, or a Rental
Bring your own gun if it fits the guidelines below, or rent one at the Pro Shop. Rentals come with our ammunition, and we keep demo guns on hand for select new models if you'd like to try before you buy.
BRINGING YOUR OWN GUN AND AMMO
These rules keep the course safe and comfortable for every guest. Range Marshalls are out on the course to answer questions and lend a hand, and we count on everyone to follow along.
Your Gun
Guns are carried with actions open and unloaded between stations. Feel free to ask someone to open theirs, and take it as good practice if you're asked the same.
Guns go loaded once you're in the station and ready to shoot.
Standard fixed stocks, with barrels at least 22 inches.
Tactical firearms and clip-fed magazine guns stay off the course. Give us a call if you'd like to check a specific gun before you drive out.
Your Ammunition
Up to two shells loaded at any time.
Low base only. Remember shot sizes run backwards, so the smaller the number, the bigger the pellet.
Within the usual limits: no magnum loads, tracers, 12ga 3" shells, or black powder without prior arrangement. Bring your boxes into the Pro Shop at check-in and we'll happily look them over with you.
On the Course
Outside of a shooting station, keep the gun down.
Chips, deflected and errant targets are left alone.
If a machine acts up, flag down a staff member and we'll sort it out. Everything downrange is ours to handle.
Each bird belongs to whoever called for it.
Everyone's Responsibility
Vacate the area and tell staff right away if something looks wrong. It's how we keep this place safe for everyone.
Alcohol stays out of the shooting areas, and shooting comes before any drink of the day.
Younger shooters are welcome with an experienced adult alongside them.
Every participant and observer signs the liability agreement, and gun safety is on all of us.

PICK YOUR DISCIPLINE
Twenty stations, the classic fields, and a few things few clubs run. Walk on any day we're open and shoot whatever you came for.
Sporting Clays
Twenty stations across the hills, no two presentations alike. Shoot it at your own pace, on your own schedule.
Skeet, Trap & 5-Stand
Automated fields with controls few ranges offer, including trap oscillation you can switch off to drill one angle.
ZZ-Birds
Europe's fastest, most unpredictable clay discipline. Nothing else on the property moves like it.
Pistol
A separate handgun range with structured courses, up through defensive drills.
Lessons
Hourly coaching with NSCA-certified instructors, for the fault you've stopped noticing.
Private Events
Full or partial course closures for corporate days, client shoots and fundraisers.
Looking to take your game to the next level?
Even seasoned shooters plateau. Our private, one-on-one lessons pair you with a certified instructor who watches your break points, not just your score. Booked by the hour, on your schedule.
Instructors are paid separately by cash or check. Targets, ammunition, and gun rental (if needed) are paid to Coyote Valley. Most lessons run 1 to 2 hours; contact our instructor coordinator to be matched with an instructor.
